Design Theory Zine

Featuring writings by Jonathan Barnbrook, Katherine Mccoy,
Kate Cullinane, and myself

Depart examines postmodern concepts of rejection and deconstruction in design history, both visually and conceptually. Postmodern design is often characterized by distrust, with each “new” movement or idea strongly diverging from its preceding theories and ideologies. This phenomenon often results in a philosophy and visual style of dismantling concepts and content. Depart seeks to explore this relationship between design, differentiation, and deconstruction.
